Setting the character detail (not texture detail) to very low and a fps limit of 60 (not vsync) makes a difference but it still could be better. Same with me. Odyssey runs great on max settings, but Origins is a struggle to get consistent 60 fps @ 1440p, particularly in the cities. The reason you think that is because Odyssey came out after Origins and did use it as a baseline to improve on the new Assassins Creed RPG formula. So yes, in some aspects Odyssey had better mechanics than Origins. I personally like the setting and story of Origins more but I like the more involved systems of Odyssey more. If I counted correctly, Origins has 366 PoI (the 19 Ptolemy Statues not included, as they aren’t for the achievement), plus 5 real cities, 26 villages, 58 viewpoints, 2 arenas, a bureau, and the hippodrome for a total of Origins was for me far better then odyssey not even to compare ^^ but it depends on what setting you are more interested Egypt or old Greek mythology. Odyssey looks a little bit better overall but for me odyssey feels just bloated especially after Origins but you should just watch a video and decide for yourself =) Its was a great game, personally I think Origins was still better but it was the first to implement the new game changes/mechanics and the Egyptian setting was dope. So in terms of Odyssey, I do see some people sleeping on it but overall I think its right where it should be. Same here. Origins #1, Odyssey close second. I like Odyssey better simply because it succeeds at what it tries to be, which is not an Assassin's Creed game. Origins muddied the lore of the Assassins so much and overexplained the titular Origins of the order in such a cheesy and heavy handed way that it totally ruined the mysticism of it entirely. Odissey have better gameplay but it's wolrd is very hard to believe that it's real. While origins is considered by many as a master piece about Egypt even by people from Egypt gov.
