I would recommend either Normal or Nemesis, leaning more towards Nemesis especially if you've played Shadow of Mordor beforehand. However, the inclusion of loot crates that cost real money raised the Brutal is “easier” than Gravewalker. From descriptions the enemy strength and AI difficulty and Nemesis activity is the same for both, but in Brutal the player gets Last Chance and deals more damage to enemies than in Gravewalker. In gravewalker you die much quicker and the enemies die much slower. In brutal, you just both die very quickly. This is an area that has enhanced the creative development of Shadow of War (as well as Shadow of Mordor) because the overall landscape speaks well to Mordor. On the surface, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Shadow of Mordor is graphically better while having a lot more polished and bloodier gameplay than Shadow of War.
