What puzzled me was that after the workshop the AdBlue range was 10000 km and for approximately the first 750 km it didn't change until finally it changed to 9500 km. Before the workshop the last working AdBlue range value was 8500 km so I'm still a bit puzzled by this but maybe they added some AdBlue during the repair without telling me. 4 Apr 2022. #3. Yes, engine is reading AdBlue level correctly (the sensor is wired to engine controller) and calculates the range based on level and on earlier AdBlue consumption. However, the dash display (17-Instruments) tells something else. Without the issue the range in engine and dash display (17-Instruments) are the same. T6 Pro. 20 Oct 2023. #69. This morning my Adblue dropped from 3500 miles (1.00-1.25Ga) to 600 miles (1.00-1.25) with warning that in 600 miles, engine wont start. Pulled into nearest services (5:30am - M4) and paid £18 for 5 litres, threw it in and turned on ignition, waited a minute or so but didnt register. The update with the free refills is not a fix for the false reading AdBlue sensor, it's an emissions fix where the emissions are too high during regeneration, so the software fix is to inject lots more AdBlue during regeneration and hence more used over the life of the vehicle. so the free refills are compensation.
